Wisho KYC Verification: When It’s Required, What You Submit, and How Long It Takes

Wisho runs account verification (KYC) to confirm who you are, where you live, and that the payment method used on the account belongs to you. The checks start when certain triggers appear and finish after documents pass review.

Wisho requests KYC when you withdraw for the first time, when cumulative withdrawals reach a higher threshold, or when account activity looks inconsistent (for example: repeated failed login attempts, sudden change of country, or a new device used right before a withdrawal). Wisho also triggers verification when a deposit is made with a new payment method or when card details do not match the account name.

  • Identity (ID/Passport): A valid passport or national ID card. Wisho asks for a full-color photo of the document, all corners visible, with readable name, date of birth, document number, and expiry date. If Wisho asks for a selfie check, you submit a live selfie or a selfie holding the ID to match your face to the document.
  • Address proof: A document dated within the last 90 days showing your full name and current residential address. Wisho accepts a utility bill (electricity, gas, water), a bank statement, or a government letter. Screenshots and edited PDFs fail review; a full-page file with the issuer name and date passes faster.
  • Payment method: If you use a bank card, Wisho requests photos of the card front and back. You hide the middle digits (keep the first 6 and last 4 visible) and cover the CVV on the back. If you use an e-wallet, Wisho requests a screenshot of the wallet profile page showing your name and account identifier (email/ID) and, in some cases, a transaction reference that matches a deposit on Wisho.
